Spring is officially here when I hear the methodic chucking of chipmunks in the distance.  It is a sound far different than the alarm call they give when startled.  Quite often our chipmunks will stuff their cheeks full of sunflower seeds from the neighbor’s feeder and come bury them in our yard.   Several weeks later we will have little bunches of sunflower seedlings sprouting in random locations of our yard.  - Kim Diment
