My home and studio is located along the AuSable River and it not uncommon to see great blue herons. Often when canoeing or kayaking down the river you can see one of these majestic herons wading along the water's edge hunting the shallow areas. When they are motionless, it might surprise you how often you glide right by them without even seeing them.
